Survey Occupational Therapy Research Hello, we are an Occupational Therapy student research group from Columbia University hoping to bridge the gap between parents and research professionals. We are investigating the effectiveness of occupational therapy for increasing participation in children with autism spectrum disorders based on parental perspectives. Your opinion is highly valuable to us. By clicking on the link below and filling out the survey, you will be aiding in research that will hopefully help to improve the effectiveness of treatments for children with autism spectrum disorders. Genetic Causes of Autism The Thompson Center for Autism at the University of Missouri: Columbia is seeking families to participate in the Simons project, a nationwide initiative to search for the genetic causes of autism. Eligible families must have a child age 4-17 diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and no history of ASD in siblings or close relatives. Both biological parents must be available to participate. The child with ASD will receive a free neuropsychological assessment and the family will be asked to participate in a variety of assessments and interviews and donate blood for DNA.
